Indiana Pacers 2010-2011

I know it is hard to believe but it is time for the NBA to start back up for the 2010-2011 season. The Pacers start the pre-season next Friday against the Orlando Magic. This year should be an exciting year as the new look Pacers try to build on their sub .500 year last year. In the offseason, the Pacers made some noise by trading Troy Murphy (collective cheer from all of Indiana) for Darren Collison, a strong, athletic, scoring Point Guard. They also drafted a talented Paul George out of San Diego State University with their 10th overall pick who will add athleticism as well as much needed scoring from the wing. To continue with the office tradition, John, Ryan and the Gift of Variety have all predicted how many wins the Pacers are going to have this year. Ryan has the most optimism predicting 44 wins, then Gift of Variety with 34 wins and finally John has the most pessimistic view predicting 33 wins (Surprised?). Follow along with us this season for regular updates on how the wins (hopefully) are stacking up for our beloved Pacers!

Pacers Finish Out a Disappointing Year

The Pacers finish out their season tonight in Washington DC. The Pacers finish under .500 for the 4th straight year. I had high hopes going into this year. With the way the Pacers ended last year and the continued development of Brandon Rush, Danny Granger, Roy Hibert and with the addition of Dante Jones and Tyler Hansborough, I thought this years Pacers could do better than .500. I was sadly disappointed. I am excited to see what kind of moves the Pacers make this off-season and will be hopeful of an above .500 season next year. GO PACERS!

A great win for the Indiana Pacers

The Pacers Roy Hibbert had 26 points to help lead the Pacers to a victory over the Magic on Tuesday night 96-90 at Conseco Fieldhouse. The Magic’s Dwight Howard was held to just 11 points. The victory over the Magic is the first against a team with a winning record since besting the Boston Celtics back on Nov. 14. A solid win has been long over due for the Pacers. Hibbert had his best game of the year with 10 of 19 shooting from the floor. Hibbert also was 6 of 9 from the foul line and had 8 rebounds. Orlando was paced by Nelson and Pietrus who both had 16 points. Indiana travels to Minnesota on Friday and has a Saturday match up with Oklahoma City. The next Pacers home game is Monday Jan 11 against Toronto. CircleCityTickets.com is your best place for tickets to all Pacers games and the rest of the NBA.
