As this summer drought seems to be ongoing and there is little rain in our future, the 4th will still be here tomorrow whether it includes fireworks or not. Setting off personal fireworks displays has been banned throughout the city dampening some people’s plans but there are still many locations around Central Indiana to enjoy fun activities, catch breathtaking fireworks displays, and have an all-around great time. Get ready to brighten up your Independence Day…literally.
As the Indy experts in events and experiencing things local we have shared below what is going on around the Circle City tomorrow. Happy 4th!
Kick off your day with a bang in Downtown Indianapolis with the “Firecracker 6 mile Run/Walk” to support Hoosiers Helping Heroes. Registration lasts from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM and the race starts at 8:00 AM.
In the evening, enjoy a beautiful night at the ballpark for the Indianapolis Indians game at Victory Field. The game begins at 6:05 PM with fireworks to follow. We’ve got tickets here.
If you can’t head to the ballpark you can also catch fireworks at the “Regions Bank Freedom Blast” at 1 Indiana Square. These fireworks begin at 9:45 PM. Viewers can complete their experience by tuning into 94.7 FM during the fireworks for synchronized music to the show.
Plainfield “Fourth of July Extravaganza” takes place at Hummel Park, just minutes west of the Indianapolis International Airport. The fun begins with a Bounce House for everyone at 5:00 PM. At 6:00 the live concert begins. As the concert comes to a close the fireworks begin at 9:55.
Lawrence starts of the day with a parade around the city beginning at 10:30 AM. “Lawrence Fireworks Spectacular” will complete the night at Community Park where fireworks begin at 10:00 PM
In the northern suburbs, Fishers will be hosting the “Blast on the Bridge” over the Geist Reservoir Bridge. Beginning at 5:30 PM the bridge will close to traffic and open to pedestrians. There will be a boat parade, skydivers, music, food, and much more. They will conclude the night with a firework show over the water at dusk.
“CarmelFest” is Carmel’s way of celebrating our independence. They begin with a Freedom Run at 8:30 AM starting at Carmel High School. They follow that up with a parade through downtown Carmel at 10:30. Events and concerts continue throughout the day ending with their firework display starting a 9:45 PM, located on the Monon Trail near City Circle Drive. These fireworks are also synchronized by tuning into My1079 FM.
“Westfield Rocks the Fourth” begins at 4:00 PM tomorrow at Asa Bales Park in Westfield. From 4:00 until 10:00 there will be live music, headliners car show, kid’s area, a marketplace, and tons more fun. Fireworks will follow at 10:00 PM to conclude the evening.
Noblesville has a mid-afternoon parade beginning at 5:00 PM. This parade is followed by a car show. The award ceremony begins at 8:30 and will conclude in time for the 10:00 PM Noblesville Fourth of July Festival fireworks which will launch from Noblesville High School.
Independence Day is a day to celebrate our nations freedom, so enjoy any of these rocking events around our city and brighten up your Independence Day.
