Maroon 5/ Train Concert Information

For clients of Circle CIty Tickets who purchased tickets to the Maroon 5/Train concert on August 18. As I’m sure you know, due to the tragedy at the Indiana State Fair on August 13, the Maroon 5/Train concert has been changed to a benefit concert at Conseco Fieldhouse on Thursday August 18 at 7:00 PM.

Your original tickets will be honored at Conseco Fieldhouse the night of the show. Conseco Fieldhouse has stated that you will be given seats in a “comparable location”.

Please be aware of the following:

1) Should you decide to keep your tickets and attend the show at Conseco Fieldhouse;
Your seat location may be somewhat better or worse than your original seat location. We will not be able to make any adjustments to your original purchase price based on your seat location at Conseco Fieldhouse. We suggest arriving as early as possible. The box office has stated that the doors will open at 6:00 PM. They may allocate tickets by section rather than by exact seats, so arriving early may be helpful in receiving the best seat location.

2) If you decide not to attend this concert at Conseco Fieldhouse, please return your tickets to us by 12:00 noon tomorrow (August 18) for a full refund (less shipping). We must receive your tickets back in order to provide a refund.

Monday morning’s heavy rainfall brought some extra drama to Circle City Tickets’ corner of Indianapolis. The culvert running under Keystone Avenue just south of the Woodfield Crossing Boulevard intersection began to collapse due to the rushing water! We watched as a police officer realized the road was unsafe to drive on and stopped traffic in the northbound lane. All northbound traffic on Keystone is now being temporarily rerouted to Allisonville Road and they are saying construction could take up to 2 months.

*PLEASE TAKE NOTE: CIRCLE CITY TICKETS IS OPEN AND IS STILL EASILY ACCESSIBLE! All traffic coming from 465 and the north side still have access to both the north and southbound lanes north of Woodfield Crossing Boulevard outside of our office. Traffic coming from south on Keystone will need to turn right at the 80th Street light and then an immediate left onto the access road running parallel to Keystone that will lead you straight to our parking lot entrance.

If you are looking to go to the Kenny Chesney concert at Verizon Wireless Music Center this weekend, Circle City Tickets still have lawn tickets available as well as VIP parking! You can conveniently (now that you know the short cuts) pick up your tickets at our north side office or you can schedule a pick up at our downtown office.

Adele ‘really frustrated’ after cancelling rest of US tour due to illness Adele Tickets ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer pulls another nine dates after postponing five shows earlier this week
Adele has cancelled the rest of her current North American tour after failing to recover from laryngitis.
After cancelling dates in Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Seattle and Portland on Tuesday (May 31), the Tottenham soul singer was planning to resume the tour in San Francisco tonight (June 4).
However, a statement on her official website, Adele.tv, revealed that an otolaryngology specialist told the singer it is “imperative” that she uses the next few weeks to “recover with absolute voice rest”. We wish her all the best and hope wee will see her soon back on the road.

Bell a Indiana University graduate, has been playing professionally since the age of 18. He has played with most of the worlds greatest orchestras and conductors. Bell violin is a 300-year-old Stradivarius violin called the Gibson ex Huberman , which was mad in 1713 by Antonio Stradivari. Bell paid just under $4,000,000.00 for the exquisite violin. Better Perfect Friends Endings

TV fans, do not be afraid. What you are seeing is not something from the Twilight Zone, but rather a mesh of writers’ lack of originality and creativity.

‘Friends’ (NBC) was the greatest show of all time and I’m confident enough to say so. It had the perfect formula for success with 3 guys and 3 girls who are all 30-something best friends living in the city, experience many adventures, hookups, breakups, and all to the sweet sound of a laugh track. Introduce an episode of ‘Friends’ to anyone who has never really watched the show and they will instantly fall in love with Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Monica, and Chandler.

‘Friends’ aired for 10 wonderful years and there has not and will not be anything like it. Today you will find 3 shows on major networks that are attempting to use the magical formula to recreate the perfect friend group. However, we are not fooled and will not be swayed.

‘Happy Endings’ (ABC) premiered last night with one of the gals leaving one of the guys at the altar. How original. Rachel left her fiancé during the pilot episode of ‘Friends’ and on the ‘Perfect Couples’ (NBC) premiere two of the friends decide not to get married just before walking down the aisle. ’Happy Endings’ also features 6 familiar characters that you will find uncanny resemblances to in ‘Friends’ and ‘Perfect Couples’ as well as a purple-walled apartment that will take you back to Monica’s trademark apartment.

‘Perfect Couples’ follows the ‘Friends’ path a bit less than ‘Happy Endings’ since the characters are all in relationships with each other, however ‘Perfect Couples’ seems to have taken a page out of the ‘Better With You’ (ABC) playbook, a show that I have enjoyed from the start. ’Perfect Couples’ compares the lives at 3 couples who are all friends but are in different stages in their relationships. ’Better With You’ also features 3 couples in different staged relationships, however the characters are related with the two girls being sisters and the oldest couple being their parents. ’Better With You’ trumps ‘Perfect Couples’ because the characters are naturally funny and it is the only show out of the 3 that boasts a laugh track (a lost art).

There are so many similarities and comparisons between these 4 shows (as if the picture doesn’t say it all) that I could rant about the outrage all afternoon. So I will leave you with the most important piece of information… Cammi’s official ranking:

4th- ‘Perfect Couples’ (Bad jokes and bad casting! Bleh!)

3rd- ‘Happy Endings’ (Funny moments… if you can get past the ‘Friends’ parallels)

2nd- ‘Better With You’ (Classic comedy that will make you want to hang with your sis)

1st- ‘Friends’ (Need I say more?)

Verizon Wireless Music Center has announced it’s lineup for 2011!

Verizon has announced it’s 2011 lineup and it is sure to please all music lovers and enthusiasts. There is a little bit of every genre. For those of us who grew up in the 80′s & 90′s, we are getting a double dose of hairband (might have to do the hair old school!!) when Motley Crue and Poision hit the stage on July 2nd.
Country fans are getting a “Mega” dose of Jason Aldeen, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, and Toby Keith.
The 70′s are represented by Styx & Yes on July 19th. Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger on August 6th.
Calling all parrotheads on August 25th for a one night party. Jimmy heard the fans and made the stop later this year!!

Circle City Tickets just released a new App for the IPhone and Android!! Nothing could be easier or more convenient, especially sitting in traffic on I69.

I could order my tickets right from my phone. I could even see the seating diagram of the venue so I could get the best seat available. Sorting the tickets by the section and/or the price per ticket was great!! No guess work!!

I would like to at last officially welcome Celine Dion’s new twins Nelson and Eddy into the world!!! (No pictures of the babies yet, but I thought Rene was looking dapper with his new glasses in this family picture)

I would also like to welcome Celine Dion back to the stage!!!

Celine is 42 and fantastic, not only because she just gave birth to healthy twins, but also because she will be back to performing in Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in March! Show dates will be running from March 15, 2011 until August 14th, 2011. Looks like I will be forcing my husband to take a trip to Vegas with me this summer! Should be easy to “trick” a man into going to Sin City right?

My Boss Is Cooler Than Your Boss

BOSS’S DAY IS OCTOBER 16, 2010!!!!! Having Boss’s Day fall on a Saturday sort of defeats the purpose and leaves our fearless leaders feeling a bit neglected, so I feel we should recognize our bosses a day early. I have prepared an acrostic in honor of the big guys here at Circle City Tickets thanking them for the many great things they do around the office. Without further ado… a poem:

B- Being available for your employees even though all we do is whine about the air conditioning, the soda selection in the fridge, the lack of lumbar support in our chairs, or the cancelled US Weekly subscriptions.

O- Only taking a 4 day vacation to Wine Country (when we’re sure you would like for it to be 12 days) so that you can be here to fix our printers, help us with our logins, order our office supplies, and sign our paychecks.

S- Smiling through our mindless stories about our cats, our kids, our spouses, and our elderly grandparents, even though you just heard the same story yesterday.

S- Showing you’re thinking about us by attempting to start planning our office holiday party two months in advance knowing that you will not get any solid plans from us until after the first week of December and all of the good restaurants are booked.

I sure wish there were more letters in the word “boss,” because there are so many great things our bosses do for us employees! But, more importantly, our bosses do great things for all of you… by providing you with premium access to tickets to sporting events, concerts, and shows anywhere in the country!

My favorite all time musical is coming to the Old National Center at the Murat starting December 15, 2010. (Drum roll please!) WICKED! This show is about the relationship between Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. It takes you on a journey thru OZ before Dorothy “drops in”. The music is fabulous and storyline relevant for all ages.

The new office is located at 12 West Maryland St. in downtown Indianapolis.

I have picked THE greatest show for a date night with my husband, The Blue Man Group!
Our first Blue Man experience was in Chicago 8 years ago and it was fantastic! My husband was pulled from the audience and was part of the show! We still talk about it today and how much fun we had. We were very excited that Blue Man was coming to Clowes Hall November 12-14. It is the perfect show to get into pre-holiday party mode.

Indiana Pacers 2010-2011

I know it is hard to believe but it is time for the NBA to start back up for the 2010-2011 season. The Pacers start the pre-season next Friday against the Orlando Magic. This year should be an exciting year as the new look Pacers try to build on their sub .500 year last year. In the offseason, the Pacers made some noise by trading Troy Murphy (collective cheer from all of Indiana) for Darren Collison, a strong, athletic, scoring Point Guard. They also drafted a talented Paul George out of San Diego State University with their 10th overall pick who will add athleticism as well as much needed scoring from the wing. To continue with the office tradition, John, Ryan and the Gift of Variety have all predicted how many wins the Pacers are going to have this year. Ryan has the most optimism predicting 44 wins, then Gift of Variety with 34 wins and finally John has the most pessimistic view predicting 33 wins (Surprised?). Unfortunately, the tour is all on the East Coast, it starts in Buffalo, NY on November 2, includes two shows at Madison Square Garden on November 12 and 13 and wraps up where it all began 20 years ago with a two night stand in Charottesville, NC on November 19 and 20. This tour will be the last time anyone will be able to see DMB for at least a year, they have previously announced taking off 2011, and as good as this summer has been I am sure the fall tour will be just as amazing. Even though they put a stage extention and eliminated a number a seats, I feel my wife and I had the best seats in the house. They were right there at the end of the runway. We could not have been any closer. Because of the seat we had, those added seats to section B, we were chosen by one of the cameramen to have our picture on the big screens during one of the songs.

Hullabalou…A hulla good time

This past weekend, my girlfriend Kate and I along with her brother and his friend made a trip south to historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. It wasn’t for horses however, it was for the first annual Hullabalou Music Festival that was being held there. The music festival had an outstanding line up. The three day fest had five stages and over 60 bands with the headliners Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews Band. Now, as you probably know my girlfriend Kate and I are huge Dave Matthews Band fans, so we were very excited go to go this show! On top of seeing DMB we were also excited to see Zac Brown Band and a slew of other acts.

The first part of our experience was a little crazy, since it was the first year they had this festival it was a little unorganized and at the beginning we had a hard time finding out how to get to our seats and how to see the other bands. Once we figured it out however it was a wonderful time. Zac Brown Band put on an amazing show playing their hits Toes and Chicken Friend along with Covers of Neon by John Mayer, Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels and God Bless America. The show was great, after the show were very excited to see Dave Matthews Band and he was awesome. He had such good energy and the set list was great. One of the highlights was when Zac Brown came out and played a All Along the Watchtower the DMB. It was incredible to see both artist up there jamming out and have a great time. What made the performance even better was during the middle the starting singing Stairway to Heave by Led Zepplin. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Overall, our experience at Churchill Downs was great. We had great VIP seats thanks to Circle City Tickets! It was a magical venue with great music and I got to experience with some wonderful people. I would recommend to everyone to make sure you check out Hullabalou next year!

Celine Dion is pregnant with twins!!! And as most of you know I’m a mega fan so I’ve decided to plan a little baby shower for the diva. Hopefully she will show up and if not, hopefully she will at least pick up the tab.

Since the twins are expected to be boys, I have, of course, conquered the blue theme. I’m thinking poolside under a cabana at a private residence in Palm Springs. Baby blue chandeliers will hang from the chiffon ceiling with Vera Wang Lace China at each place setting. The six-tiered vanilla cake will boast raspberry filling and buttercream icing and two platinum baby shoes as the topper. It was an Indiana night with Indiana boys (and girls) and Tom Petty blew the roof off of Verizon Wireless Music Center. This happened to be my first concert at the Verizon venue in Noblesville and it was the ultimate concert experience thanks to VIP parking and Club access. This is the only way to go—we drove right past the lines of traffic waiting to get in and entered the separate VIP parking lot. Top shelf bar and café-style dining don’t even compare to the lines at the concession stands outside the VIP area. Tom Petty put on an incredible show and we had amazing seats because my favorite ticket broker, Circle City Tickets, always has the best seat in the house!

I love Gene Simmons, I really do. I love his show on A&E and make sure that it is on the DVR religiously for my weekend entertainment. I watched Celebrity Apprentice knowing that the King of Marketing would win (oh well, we all need reality checks). I want to tour his home and party with him in Vegas as only a member of the Kiss Army can. I want to have lunch and go shopping with Shannon. But as much as I admire the man and the demon within, what the hell is he thinking playing a concert at the Indiana State Fair??

I want to believe that he and his crew know what they are doing but I can’t get past the arena shows that I have been to that sounded awesome and were part of my young, single adulthood J . The idea of one of the greatest bands (still) alive playing at the State Fair cheapens my memories and makes me say WTF!. Jessica Simpson tours State Fairs. The idea of seeing one of the greatest bands in one of the worst places visually and acoustically doesn’t make me want to march with the army that I am a part of or open my wallet, again, to the Demon. I don’t want to smell the pigs mixed with the pyrotechnics.

The Kiss Army needs to stand up and say “change the venue”!! Go to Verizon, go to the Lawn, go to Victory Field, go anywhere (except Conseco Fieldhouse above the lower level—spend the cash for premium seating!). We will come, we will spend, we will have our arena band memories intact and we will not feel that Kiss has sunk to the level of Jessica Simpson!

I can’t believe it but the summer is half over and August is almost here, this mean’s two things. Kids will go back to school and Football season is almost here. The open the Pre-season on Sunday August 15 against the 49ers and the Regular Season home opener is a nationally televised game a against the New York Giants on Sunday night September 19. The British Open Starts this week at the place where golf started, the Old Course and St. Andrews. The excitement for this weekend is growing as the worlds best golfers try there best at this historic course. What makes this tournament extra special is it is the first British Open for Tiger Woods after his scandal broke out last November. Tiger is looking to get his game back on track, he changed his putter for the first time in a decade and has been practicing well all week. He loves the old Course, it has wide open fairways and it is long. In fact, 2 of his British Open titles have come from this course, he has one both times it has been at the Old Course since he has been pro. It will be interesting to see how well he plays. Dave to Finish Tour at Wrigley Field

It has finally been announced, Dave Matthews Band will end their tour with a 2 night stand at Wrigley Field Sept 18 and 19. This not so well kept secret has sent DMB fans every into a frenzy getting plans together for that weekend. With the news earlier this year that DMB is not going to be touring next year, this weekend will be huge! Not only will it be the first time DMB has played at Wrigley Field, one of the most famous ball parks in the World but it will be their last concert before touring hiatus. Wrigley field is much larger than most venues that DMB has played at this year but due to the circumstances surrounding this weekend, tickets will be tough to come by. Gamecocks rule the CWS Roost

Game – Cocks! Game – Cocks! You could hear the cheer reverberating throughout Rosenblatt Stadium last night as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks pulled out an extra inning victory against UCLA to claim the College World Series National Championship. Congrats to the Gamecocks for winning their first Baseball national championship!

The Gamecocks battled back after losing their first game and rattled off a CWS record six straight wins to claim the title, beating a UCLA team that most people expected to win. (On a side note, the commentators kept mentioning how many overall national championships UCLA has, and then mentioned that their largest number, I think 19, comes in Mens volleyball. Ok, seriously. I respect mens volleyball, but how many schools even have it as a D1 program? Its a great accomplishment, but….)

Certainly not lost in all the excitment is the fact that the SEC has taken home another national championship, including back to back titles in College Baseball. The SEC once again out-performed the rest of the country (granted, men’s volleyball, ballroom dancing, and other non-awesome sports are excluded), especially the Big Ten, which, all jokes aside, is not even relevant in college baseball.

S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!
