The Tournament has Arrived!

It’s finally March and the time of year you have all been waiting for has arrived at last! The March Madness NCAA Tournament is underway and the state of Indiana will be represented well this year.  The Indiana Hoosiers have rode the wave of being one of the nation’s best teams all season and secured that prestigious number one seed in the East Region!  They will be starting their run to the Final Four in the first session of games in Dayton, Ohio starting this Friday at 4:10.  If you are looking for a last minute chance to watch the Hoosiers in action click here!

However, the Hoosiers aren’t the only one’s looking to make noise this tournament.  The Butler Bulldogs have secured the number six seed in the East Region and will be kicking off their tournament against the Bucknell Bison in Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky at 12:40 on Thursday.  Tickets to see Rotnei Clarke and the rest of this explosive Bulldog offense are available here!

Now we can’t forget the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who received a seven seed in the West region.  They will play the late game on Friday night starting at 9:45.  The Irish also play in Dayton, OH as they take on a tough challenge, the Iowa State Cyclones.  To get tickets to the second Session in Dayton on Friday and cheer the Irish “Onward to Victory” click here!

With so many teams gearing up to compete for the title, this March Madness may be the maddest yet!  So be loud and cheer for your hometown Hoosiers, Bulldogs, and Irish as they all aim for the Final Four in Atlanta!

IU Basketball

The Indiana Hoosiers have had quite the ups ands downs this season. They started at No. 1 in the polls before the season even started, have lost three games, and have slid all the way to No. 7 at one point. The basketball  Hoosiers are back at being No. 1 even though they lost to Illinois in the last few seconds of the game on February 7th.

They regained some dignity though by beating top-10 ranked Ohio State on February 10 thus solidifying their top spot in the rankings. This win was a big deal as it was on the road and against a top-ranked team. Tonight as they play Nebraska many eyes will be watching the team to confirm they are indeed deserving of the No. 1 spot although Hoosiers fans have known they have been the best all along.

Indiana Hoosiers hold off the No. 8 Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Indiana Hoosiers survived against No. 8 Minnesota with an 88-81 win on Saturday. Indiana was led by Victor Oladipo with 20 points and six rebounds, before he fouled out. The Hoosiers had a good first half, but struggled to come out with the same energy in the second. Mistakes by the Hoosiers in the second half allowed Minnesota to cut a 23 point halftime lead and a 15-point deficit with about three minutes to go.

The Hoosiers (15-1, 3-0) have now won six straight overall, 18 in a row at Assembly Hall and beat a Top 15 opponent for the fifth time in 13 months. Indiana snapped Minnesota’s 11 game winning streak and both of the Gophers’ two losses have come to number 5 ranked teams (Indiana and Duke).  The next game for the Hoosiers is against No.15 Wisconsin, where they lost their last meeting 71-79.

FAN MAIL

Here is an email recently sent to me in regards to the fabulous customer service and great event experience that our customer had……..
I would like to thank you and your staff for the Brooks and Dunn tickets.

Even though they put a stage extention and eliminated a number a seats, I feel my wife and I had the best seats in the house. They were right there at the end of the runway. We could not have been any closer. Because of the seat we had, those added seats to section B, we were chosen by one of the cameramen to have our picture on the big screens during one of the songs.

Thanks again.
Dale S.

Call Circle City Tickets when you want to sit in the “best seat in the house” for your event. All of our representatives want to make your event experience a great one!

Gamecocks rule the CWS Roost

Game – Cocks! Game – Cocks! You could hear the cheer reverberating throughout Rosenblatt Stadium last night as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks pulled out an extra inning victory against UCLA to claim the College World Series National Championship. Congrats to the Gamecocks for winning their first Baseball national championship!

The Gamecocks battled back after losing their first game and rattled off a CWS record six straight wins to claim the title, beating a UCLA team that most people expected to win. (On a side note, the commentators kept mentioning how many overall national championships UCLA has, and then mentioned that their largest number, I think 19, comes in Mens volleyball. Ok, seriously. I respect mens volleyball, but how many schools even have it as a D1 program? Its a great accomplishment, but….)

Certainly not lost in all the excitment is the fact that the SEC has taken home another national championship, including back to back titles in College Baseball. The SEC once again out-performed the rest of the country (granted, men’s volleyball, ballroom dancing, and other non-awesome sports are excluded), especially the Big Ten, which, all jokes aside, is not even relevant in college baseball.

S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!
